چکیده
The Helical Fusion group (Helical Co., Ltd. in Japan and USA, Inc.) is developing a 50 MWe-class steady-state helical fusion reactor, which kind of stellarator called heliotron composed two continuous coils similar to the large device operated without plasma current. HESTIA plays role pilot plant. first-of-a-kind power plant that would follow will be 100 reactor. After more than one year operation, maintenance completed within 3 months, aiming for an availability larger 80%. High-temperature superconducting magnet are adopted generate 8 T magnetic field at coil center. deuterium-tritium where tritium self-produced using liquid metal blanket systems. first wall including divertor strike zone covered protected by free-surface flow, therefore, individual systems not required HESTIA. Electron cyclotron heating heating. Since current drive required, can low gain ∼13, operation principally possible on order year. few years development phases, prototype planned constructed integrated demonstration before starting construction

Quantitative Analysis of Lipid Droplet Fusion: Inefficient Steady State Fusion but Rapid Stimulation by Chemical Fusogens
Lipid droplets (LDs) are dynamic cytoplasmic organelles containing neutral lipids and bounded by a phospholipid monolayer. Previous studies have suggested that LDs can undergo constitutive homotypic fusion, a process linked to the inhibitory effects of fatty acids on glucose transporter trafficking. Using strict quantitative criteria for LD fusion together with refined light microscopic methods...
متن کاملA Steady - State L - Mode Tokamak Fusion Reactor : Large Scale and Minimum Scale
We perform extensive analysis on the physics of L-mode tokamak fusion reactors to identify (1) a favorable parameter space for a large scale steady-state reactor and (2) an operating point for a minimum scale steady-state reactor. The identification of the large scale parameter space is part of the 2008 MIT Nuclear Systems Design Project, which also includes sustainability and economic optimiza...
متن کاملThe First Fusion Reactor: Iter
28 I n practical terms, the project’s goal is to construct and operate a tokamak experiment which can confine a deuterium-tritium plasma in which the α-particle heating dominates all other forms of plasma heating. Formally, the primary mission of the ITER project is to demonstrate sustainment of a DT plasma producing ~500 MW of fusion power for durations of 300 500 s with a ratio of fusion outp...
متن کاملBiomagnetic effects: a consideration in fusion reactor development.
Fusion reactors will utilize powerful magnetic fields for the confinement and heating of plasma and for the diversion of impurities. Large dipole fields generated by the plasma current and the divertor and transformer coils will radiate outward for several hundred meters, resulting in magnetic fields up to 450 gauss in working areas. Since occupational personnel could be exposed to substantial ...
متن کاملConcept of Multi-function Fusion Reactor
To really use the fusion energy and make the fusion energy as a main energy in the world could need more than 50 years. The construction of ITER starts the real course to realize the peaceful use of the fusion energy. It means the technologies developed in the world are feasible to built fusion facilities or reactors with fusion core plasmas. Based on the technologies nowadays, a concept of mul...
